This is your invitation to the big day

It is that time of year again when we invite you to put forward a team to join us on the 5th September 2008 for the 3rd Buccleuch Property Challenge. For those of you who participated last year, I hope the memory of aching muscles and steep hills has long since faded and that the fitness programme has started already; for Challenge virgins, I hope you have only heard good things about the day!

This year we will be making a concerted effort to ensure as many teams as possible complete the full course in the time available and be making a number of changes to the route and some of the ‘surprise’ elements so there will be plenty to push those who have been before.

We remain committed to maintaining the same format and are adamant that the event is suitable for all levels, although a reasonable degree of fitness will only increase the enjoyment of the day. For those that need something to aim for we will be hosting another evening party at Drumlanrig as the carrot to make it to the finish line and we are aiming this year to attract over 300 people to participate.

We are also aiming to increase the charitable aspects of the day and will be donating at least £200 of each entry fee to this years nominated charity, The Duke of Edinburgh Award. We have also increased the number of corporate sponsorship opportunities and would encourage you to look at the different ideas that are available in this regard.
