Newcastle Advertising First For 55 Degrees North

Screen on the TyneBuccleuch Property’s 55 Degrees North residential complex is to play host to a spectacular digital out of home screen – Newcastle’s first and only digital signage of this type.

The Screen On The Tyne is located by 55 Degrees North, on a major roundabout which dominates two of the busiest arterial routes into the City Centre.

Ocean Outdoor, the advertising company taking up the space, has taken a 10 year lease on the land with Newcastle firm Naylors Chartered Surveyors acting on behalf of the Edinburgh based company.

Cameron McKay of Buccleuch Property said: “We are delighted to have secured this deal with Ocean Outdoor on our 55 Degrees North building which is a landmark in Newcastle and really lends itself to the use and undoubtedly enhances the profile of the asset.”

Its prime location offers advertisers the chance to reach an audience of more than 600,000 city workers and shoppers per fortnight. The massive screen measures 9.5m high by 5.12m wide and went live on March 24.

Newcastle has been a target for Ocean Outdoor expansion for a number of years and is central to the development of the outdoor media owner’s regional network across the UK.
