One of Scotland’s fastest growing telecoms companies has announced it is to expand into new premises at Shawfair Park in Midlothian, which is owned by Buccleuch Property.
TenTel, which provides broadband, phone, and TV packages for residential properties, has signed a ten year lease for 5,082 sq. ft. at 2 Wester Shawfair. The company is likely to bring 40 jobs to the business park as part of its expansion plans.
This latest deal at 2 Wester Shawfair leaves only 5,000 sq. ft. immediately available to let. Other occupiers at Shawfair Park include: Hutchison Networks; PHS; Ortholink; Care UK; Scottish Qualifications Authority; private hospital Spire and Marston’s pub/restaurant – The Old Colliery.
Daniel Halliday, Finance Director of TenTel, said, “With the communications landscape undergoing a period of rapid change we’re expecting sustained growth in the coming year.
“TenTel has already expanded due to a very successful first year of business. We have had to increase our staff recruitment due to our growth and to deliver the ‘Wow!” and world-class customer service that differentiates us from our competitors.
“New opportunities to provide customers with flexible packages, which meet their individual needs, means we need to be in the right location to help cater for increased demand. Our new premises at Shawfair Park will ensure that we’re ready to do just that.”
Shawfair Park provides a high quality commercial environment. Owners Buccleuch Property can deliver bespoke new build accommodation ranging from HQ style offices to multi-let pavilions, as well as sites for hotel and leisure use.
Steph Rennie, Associate at Buccleuch Property, said: “TenTel’s move to Shawfair Park is at an exciting time for the Park and the wider Shawfair development and we’re pleased to welcome TenTel as our latest tenant.
“With the recent opening of the Borders Railway a renewed national focus has been placed on prime locations on the East coast.
“There are multiple development opportunities available across the business park, which benefits from excellent transport links, including the Sheriffhall Park & Ride, as well as the Borders Railway dedicated station at Shawfair, which provides access to the heart of the capital in less than 15 minutes.”
JLL and Montagu Evans acted as agents on behalf of Buccleuch Property.
