Consumer delivery specialists, Hermes have taken occupation of the 56,508 sq ft new build production and warehouse facility set within the Centralpoint estate on Dovecote Road in a 15-year lease with a 10 year term certain.
Buccleuch purchased the vacant warehouse in September 2014, it having never been occupied. Hermes have taken entry on completion of a £300,000 yard extension carried out by Buccleuch which added 13,455 sq ft to the property’s external area. Hermes are completing their own internal fit-out and the addition of two further loading bays to add to the four existing and are now in full occupation.
Located immediately adjacent to and overlooking the A8/M8 main Glasgow to Edinburgh artery, Centralpoint provides excellent access to and from the motorway and is conveniently situated 15 minutes from Glasgow and 30 minutes from Edinburgh. Both international airports can be reached in 30 minutes from the site and the air freight terminal at Prestwick is within a one-hour drive. Other occupiers at the site include Eddie Stobart, FedEx, Morrisons and Wincanton.
