Queensberry Properties wins Small Housing Development of the Year award

Hydro GardensQueensberry Properties Ltd., a joint venture between Buccleuch Property and Cruden Homes (East) Ltd., has won the Small Housing Development of the Year award at the 2018 Scottish Home Awards for its Hydro Gardens site.

An exclusive development in Peebles, Hydro Gardens comprises high quality houses and apartments nestled in the beautiful grounds of the Peebles Hydro Hotel.

Located off Innerleithen Road to the front of the hotel, Hydro Gardens has been carefully designed to ensure it is in-keeping with its surrounds: from incorporating elements of the traditional architecture of neighbouring properties and the hotel to the new builds, through to preserving the iconic setting and views throughout, including ensuring car parking isn’t visible from the road.

Visitors are instantly welcomed to the development through the thoughtfully constructed central driveway, which leads to the stunning central square and green area. Created by Queensberry Properties with the aim of maximising homeowner interaction, this traditional ‘village green’ setting lies at the centre of the site and helps foster a sense of community.

Providing luxury living in a prime location, Hydro Gardens caters to all needs. From large villas designed in neo-Georgian style, through to mews, semi-detached and flatted properties featuring Victorian detailing present in the Peebles Hydro Hotel visible behind.

Situated close to local amenities, Hydro Gardens benefits from excellent public transport links as well as a number of outdoor walking routes and recreational facilities.

Nick Waugh, Commercial Property Director at Buccleuch Property, said: “We are delighted to have been presented with the Small Housing Development of the Year award for our work with Cruden Homes at Hydro Gardens.

“An exceptional development, Hydro Gardens combines luxury design and craftsmanship with carefully considered landscaping. The quality of build, together with the strong sense of character and individuality visible across the site, offers something unique and special to homebuyers and it’s fantastic to see this recognised by the wider industry.”

Hydro Gardens is the latest development from Queensberry Properties, an award-winning partnership between Cruden Homes and established land and property experts Buccleuch Property. The development represents another significant milestone in Queensberry Properties’ enviable track record of building exceptional properties in the best possible locations.
